Conservatory Outlet Aluminium Factory

One of the UK’s leading home improvement groups is set to create a new aluminium manufacturing facility in Doncaster.

Conservatory Outlet Group, which comprises CO Manufacturing and CO Home Improvements, made the announcement at its annual Gala Dinner in Malaga.

The largest event in its 20-year history attracted nearly 100 guests from the ‘Network’ and they heard how the 15,000 sq ft factory is going to be transformed into a purpose-built facility capable of producing the highest quality and broadest product range available on the market.

A significant investment is being made on the refurbishment, including the installation of dedicated CNC machines, cutting centres and crimpers.

It is the first time the CO Group will have access to its own aluminium production capability, with the move set to create twenty new jobs.

“This is a very exciting milestone in our journey and brings a whole new product range to our home improvement businesses and the 30 retailers in our ever-expanding network,” explained Greg Kane, CEO of CO Group.
“It’s a commitment from us to deliver products of the highest standards and at lead times that consumers will appreciate. Aluminium is also an increasingly popular choice for homeowners and businesses looking for exceptional strength, sleek aesthetics and good durability with minimal upkeep.”
He continued: “We felt that our Gala Dinner was the perfect opportunity to update all our retailers on what we had planned for the next twelve months, twelve months that will also see the launch of the new Extreme window range and our new Flush Sash suite.”

The CO Retail Network has overcome tough trading conditions and fragile consumer confidence to post an impressive 12% increase on sales across its 30 retailers across England, Wales and Scotland.

By sharing best practice, embracing industry-leading sales training and adopting a mix of digital marketing methods, the members have successfully grown turnover, invested in new showrooms and continued to create new career opportunities in the home improvement sector.

Mick Giscombe, Managing Director of CO Manufacturing, went on to add: “With a lot of our sector reporting significant downturns, I’m proud to say we’re not only surviving, but actually thriving, outperforming the market in all areas!
“Five of our members, based in different geographies all over the UK, have actually recorded more than a 25% increase in sales. This is a staggering performance by all of them.”

Held in the Museum of Automobiles in Malaga, the CO Manufacturing Gala Dinner provided the perfect opportunity to present the organisation’s annual awards.

This year the prizes went to:

  • Bon Accord - Best Extreme Window Installation
  • Pennine – Best Envisage Window Installation
  • TradeMark – Best PVC Door Installation
  • First Class – Best Forte Door Installation
  • 5 Star - Best Conservatory or Extension Installation
  • Ecofit – Best Orangery Installation

There were also special awards for Hazlemere Windows and Mitchell Glass, who both marked 15 years as a CO Premium Retailer.

Greg Kane concluded: “There’s lots of good things to highlight commercially and about industry best practice, but one of my favourite bits is our yearly charity challenge and 2026 was a really good one.
“For some reason we chose to climb the ten highest peaks in the Brecon Beacons, so over the course of two, ten-hour days we trekked 27 miles (mostly uphill) and in torrential rain. The 20 intrepid members of the CO team = fuelled by the backing of other Network members - managed to raise a brilliant £15,000 for the MND Association.
“This proves you can do anything when you put your mind to it, which sums up how we approach business as a group.”
