Deceuninck and VBH Golf Day

Deceuninck and VBH (GB) raised more than £8,000 for Demelza and Bath Rugby Foundation at their annual Golf Day on 9th July held at Bowood Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort in Wiltshire.

Customers, colleagues and industry partners joined the two businesses for a day on the course, with this year’s event dedicated to supporting the two charities.

Demelza provides specialist care and support for children and young people with serious or life-limiting conditions, as well as their families. Bath Rugby Foundation uses sport to support vulnerable children and young people within its local community.

The fundraising total came from hole sponsorship, donations and a charity auction, with guests and sponsors getting behind the event throughout the day.

Deceuninck General Manager, Darren Woodcock said: “Our Golf Day is always a highlight of the calendar and a great opportunity to bring customers, colleagues and industry partners together.

“This year, we were very pleased to partner with the team at VBH and use the event to raise funds for two fantastic charities.

“The generosity shown by everyone was incredible. Whether they sponsored a hole, donated, bid in the auction or joined us on the course, every person involved helped us reach a brilliant final total of more than £8,000.”

There was also plenty of friendly competition on the course, with Dave Gould from Bristol Windows taking the individual title and Bristol Windows taking home the Winning Team.

Jame Dobbin from Patio South West won Nearest the Pin, while Remi Cake from Window Warehouse claimed the Longest Drive prize.

Richard Gyde, Managing Director of VBH (GB), said: “We were delighted to work alongside Deceuninck on this year’s Golf Day and help raise such an impressive amount for Demelza and Bath Rugby Foundation.

“It was a thoroughly enjoyable event, made even better by the support shown by the players, guests and sponsors. We would like to thank everyone who contributed and helped make the day such a success.”

Deceuninck and VBH also thanked everyone who sponsored a hole, donated a prize, supported the auction or contributed to the fundraising.

Darren concluded: “More than £8,000 is a fantastic result and one that everyone involved should feel proud of. The funds will support two charities carrying out incredibly important work, and that is what made the day particularly worthwhile.

“We are very grateful to everyone who supported us and look forward to welcoming customers and partners back again next year.”
