Heritage System Enhanced

AluK has introduced upgrades to its Heritage system, including PAS24:2022 +A1:2024 accreditation for a Heritage single door with a lift-lever lock and cylinder mechanism.

The update allows the system to be specified for front and rear entrance doors across new build, extension and refurbishment projects.

Russell Yates, Managing Director at AluK, said: “Fully accredited to the latest version of PAS24, this Heritage door can now be installed in new builds and extensions as well as refurbishment projects.

“We’re seeing a shift in the retail market towards aluminium front doors, and this means we have another option for customers to add to their product portfolios. We already have PAS24 accreditation on our contemporary entrance door systems and now we have matched that on our Heritage system as well.”

The lift-lever lock mechanism is designed to work with period-style handles, available in a range of finishes including matt black, antique bronze, heritage black and heritage grey.

Alongside the security upgrade, AluK has added a stepped edge transom detail to the Heritage system. This feature is designed to replicate the appearance of traditional steel windows and doors and can be used across doors and fixed lights within a glazed wall.

Yates added that the Heritage system has seen increased uptake following the introduction of the door option, with fabricators benefiting from shared components across the range and simplified manufacturing and installation.
