Robust Launches Header Extensions

Robust UK has introduced new adjustable head extensions for non-certified doorsets, designed to help installers manage gaps of up to 15mm between the frame header and the structural opening.

The adjustable extensions are available free of charge on request and have been developed to improve the appearance and efficiency of steel door installations.

According to Robust, the system removes the need for frame packers and reduces reliance on mastic to fill gaps, helping installers achieve a cleaner finish while simplifying installation.

The extensions are fitted using jacking screws and can be trimmed on-site to suit the required length.

Robust said the solution has been developed to help address issues caused by survey inaccuracies or out-of-square structural openings, reducing the risk of remakes and installation delays.

Paul Williams, Commercial Director at Robust UK, said: “Our new adjustable head extensions provide installers and project managers with the ability to achieve an aesthetically pleasing finish to a doorset, even on challenging projects.”

Williams added that the product was developed in response to customer demand for a flexible installation solution capable of accommodating measurement discrepancies of up to 15mm.

The company said the launch forms part of a wider programme of product development following a £6 million factory investment in 2024.
