Robust UK has announced that it has added a fire-rated and smoke-tested double doorset option to its RISER-DOR range.
Now available as double doorsets with up to one hour of fire resistance, RISER-DOR provides vital protection by helping to contain the spread of fire and smoke while maintaining safe access to essential building services.
RISER-DOR has also been independently smoke-tested to BS EN 1634-3, for both its single and double doors, further extending its appeal for use in commercial, educational and industrial settings.
Sitting flush within the wall, RISER-DOR provides discreet and quick access to services such as electrical wiring, plumbing and HVAC systems, which are housed within vertical shafts in multi-storey buildings.
Designed to protect against both fire and smoke, RISER-DOR delivers enhanced safety performance for service shaft applications where maintaining compartmentation is crucial.
Fire-rated to E120 for single doorsets and E60 for double doorsets, RISER-DOR helps preserve the integrity of the service shaft by preventing the passage of fire and smoke between floors. Its bi-directional fire performance means it can both contain a fire within the shaft and prevent flames from entering the opening, helping to protect essential building services and support safer evacuation routes, and is therefore compliant with Approved Document B.
