Sean Williams and Phil Deyes from Leonard Curtis were appointed Joint Administrators of Dual Seal Glass Limited on 29th June 2026, successfully concluding a pre-pack sale on the same day to Commercial Glass Specialists Limited, maximizing asset value and preserving business continuity.

Dual Seal Glass Ltd, based in Huddersfield, was incorporated in 1995 and specialises in high-performance insulated glass panels for construction. It employs around 90 staff and had a turnover of c £13 million.

The company had been facing significant financial challenges, including historic product liability claims, bad debts, rising costs, and supply chain issues.

Sean Williams commented: “The pre-pack solution facilitates a quick sale of assets, preserves employment, and achieves better creditor outcomes. It means the business can continue trading, maintain its customer relationships and retain goodwill.

“The approach also minimises disruption by transferring staff under TUPE regulations,” he added.

The Joint Administrators instructed independent agents Cerberus Group to value the business and its assets. Marketing of the business and assets was conducted in the period prior to administration, with Commercial Glass successfully completing the competitive bidding process.

Shazad Hussain, Managing Director of Commercial Glass, commented: "We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of the Dual Seal Glass business out of administration and secured the future of the business and its staff. We shall be investing in the business going forwards and look forward to working with our stakeholders."

The purchaser's legal advice was provided by Azher Quyoom, a partner in the restructuring department at Andrew Jackson Solicitors LLP, who was assisted by Grace Moreton and Raheel Quyoom from the restructuring team.

Azher Quyoom added: " We are pleased to have assisted Shazad in this acquisition. Shazad explained his objectives at the start of our involvement, and we worked closely together to navigate the complexities of the deal, including on-boarding new funding arrangements. We look forward to working together in the future."
