Window Widgets at Welborne

Sash window specialists, Roseview Windows, will install more than 800 sash windows in phase one of the Welborne Garden Village project, which will include a number of Window Widgets products, including trickle vent covers, Jacks, a VS variable aluminium baypole, as well as VS bay pole cover trims - all manufactured by Window Widgets.

Having already chosen Roseview’s Ultimate Rose sash window for the project, Welborne’s design team specified the trickle vent covers to complement the aesthetic. The challenge was to provide Future Home Standards Part F-compliant ventilation without compromising the project’s focus on heritage styles.

Most trickle vent options on the market are very visible, and while concealed variants are available for sash windows, typically, they require reductions to frame heights or glass areas to make space for vent channels. The Window Widgets trickle vent covers keeps external sightlines slim and preserves full-height window proportions.

The trickle vent covers were foiled in white woodgrain to match the finish of the windows, to give a more discreet overall look.

Jo Trotman, Sales and Marketing Manager at Window Widgets, said: “We are delighted that four of our Window Widgets products are being used on this unique development, which perfectly blends heritage aesthetic with modern performance.

“The Welborne development is a very exciting project to be a part of, and we are very proud that our products have been selected for the project, which is an exciting mix of properties that have a heritage look and feel, with all the benefits of modern homes' performance.”

Roseview’s Managing Director Richard Burrells comments: “Ultimate Rose is a fully authentic modern sash window, and on a project like Welborne, the combination of performance and aesthetics is everything. That’s exactly why we chose Window Widgets products for this project, giving us that perfect balance and crucially, meeting Part F ventilation standards.

“The fantastic benefit of working with Window Widgets is that they offer everything you could possibly need for the installation.

“We’re excited to continue working with the project design team and developers as the remaining 5,000+ plots come together. It’s rare to see a development this large keep such a close eye on the heritage details that matter, proving you can deliver modern housing on a huge scale without compromising style and quality.”
