Forterro has announced its intention to acquire 3E, a software provider specialising in solutions for window and door manufacturers.

According to Forterro, the acquisition will expand its capabilities for small industrial businesses and mid-market manufacturers, while strengthening its existing software portfolio following previous acquisitions including Orgadata, BM Group and Klaes.

The deal is expected to complete during Q2 2026.

Forterro said 3E brings expertise in ERP, machine interfaces and production planning for PVC and timber manufacturers, complementing its existing offering across timber, PVC and aluminium manufacturing sectors.

Bernd Hillbrands, Managing Director of the Windows & Doors Line of Business at Forterro, said: “3E is a strong strategic fit for Forterro.

“This acquisition strengthens our offering for specialised and industrial manufacturers, expands our support for mid-market manufacturers, and reinforces our position as a long-term partner to the industrial champions driving the European economy.”

Hillbrands added that Forterro’s AI strategy had also formed part of the attraction for 3E and its customer base.

Following completion of the transaction, 3E will become part of Forterro’s solutions portfolio for specialised and industrial manufacturers. Forterro said 3E customers would benefit from continued product investment, particularly around AI and cloud-based technologies.

Forterro also plans to integrate 3E into its wider cloud and AI platform over time to support operational efficiency and business growth for manufacturers.

Founded in 1993, 3E develops software solutions for the windows and doors industry and operates across Germany and Europe.
