Lioncourt Homes has welcomed the CEO of the Future Homes Hub to two of its Worcestershire developments to demonstrate how sustainability and nature-led design are being integrated across its sites.
Ed Lockhart visited Martley Fields in Martley and The Green in Rushwick, before meeting with the team at Lioncourt Homes’ Brook Court head office. He was hosted by Colin Cole, CEO at Lioncourt Homes, alongside members of the senior leadership team.
The visit showcased Lioncourt Homes’ approach to sustainability, including participation in the Homes for Nature programme, the integration of smart technologies aligned with the Future Homes Standard, and broader environmental and placemaking strategies.
As part of the Future Homes Standard Ready campaign, Lioncourt Homes is delivering homes designed to meet upcoming low-carbon regulations ahead of their formal introduction. This includes low-temperature heating systems, enhanced fabric performance and renewable technologies, aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
The developments visited also incorporate biodiversity-led design features. Martley Fields includes open space and walking routes connected to the surrounding countryside, while The Green in Rushwick features natural grassland, ponds and green corridors to support wildlife and resident wellbeing.
Discussions during the visit focused on the delivery of sustainable drainage systems, ecological enhancements and the role of collaboration between housebuilders and industry bodies in preparing for future regulatory requirements.
Ed Lockhart said: “It was valuable to see first-hand how these developments are incorporating environmental and sustainability measures and how customers are responding to them.”
Colin Cole added: “Working with organisations such as the Future Homes Hub enables us to align with best practice and continue developing the homes and communities we deliver.”
In 2025, Lioncourt Homes achieved a five-star customer satisfaction rating from the Home Builders Federation for the 11th consecutive year.
